When my husband proposed to me, our first plan was to have a tiny wedding, only invite a few friends and immediate family, be done with the event, and move on to living the married life. My family, deciding their love for me means that any happy event cannot pass by without months of planning, decided to give me the “option” of a larger affair. We discussed it, and decided to do a bigger party, but to do it in a very non-traditional way. We are having it outdoors, definitely not inside a church. A friend’s father will be marrying us, and he is “ordained by the church of the dude.” And I haven’t even seen The Big Lebowski. Instead of a traditional photographer, we are looking for a Dallas Photo Booth Rental and will let each group make their own memories, with copies for us too. It’s our day, and our party, in every way.

Music has always been my go to inspiration for creativity and self-healing. I love nothing more than to listen to new types of music and gain a better perspective of what is out there in the music world. I knew this would be a great chance for me to listen to music from all over this country because on the weekends I could travel. My favorite country had to of been Germany and the city of Berlin! This was great music to dance to and really got you going!

I was at a store that sells gag gifts today and I found one of the funniest things I have ever seen. It was called a status badge. This thing was basically a name tag that had your facebook status printed right on the front of it. They are super cute and super cool, I really liked what it had to offer when I wore it. The company told me that the status badge offered the best ice breaking capabilities on the market. If I wear the status badge, people will flock over to me to talk to me about it and want to know where I got it from. If it is really as good of an ice breaker as they say it is, and it will show me how to get girls, than I will buy a few of them and get them to say all sorts of different things.

I remember back in 1976 when I first started playing the drums. I was absolutely fascinated with it! In fact, I pretty much neglected many other things in school that I now look back and regret. I wish I would have stayed in baseball for one thing. I was a really good athlete and excelled as a catcher. I even had the privilege of playing in the all stars four years in a row!

I gave up baseball when I learned how to play drums. When I got home from school when all my friends were playing football in the backyard, I was on the drums playing along with my favorite songs. If I wasn’t playing along with my favorite songs, I was learning a new song.

My favorite music at the time was classic rock. Well, it wasn’t classic then, remember it was only in the late ’70’s. I’m talking Foreigner, Queen, CCR, Billy Joel, Kansas. I learned the drum tracks to many of those bands’ songs.

I can’t believe I dropped my favorite camera in the ocean. I was getting some fabulous shots too. I had to wade out into the water a bit to get a good shot of the shoreline looking inland, and I just lost my grip. Its the worst feeling in the world when something like that happens. Luckily, I was able to save the shots, but the cameras ruined. Right now I’m using an old refurbished digital camera, and its working out pretty well. Id still like to have my old camera back, but I’ll have to use this one a while until I can afford a replacement. It was fairly expensive as I’m sure you’ve guessed. To be honest, the one I’m using now is probably a better camera, but I just liked how the other one operated. It suited my style more. I guess there’s something to be said for sentimentality.

I won a pair of tickets to aclassical instrumental music concert in a magazine recently and although this is not something that I would enjoy myself I know that my folks would be really into the chance of going and seeing the orchestra and tenor that were putting it on. It is their wedding anniversary coming up so I am going to slip the tickets in the card as a little extra present for them. I have already bought them a huge canvas portrait of one of their wedding photos that I know they are going to love. It also gives them an excuse to get away from work and out of the house as the performance is down in London and they very rarely actually leave the exciting county that is Norfolk in the south east of England. If they don’t want to go or have other plans then I guess they can just stick them on eBay.
